CHALLENGES & SOLUTION
Challenges :
Thai PBS required a digital platform that delivers large volumes of news and public content in real time while serving diverse audiences. Key challenges included: • High content velocity with complex content structures, making discovery and prioritization difficult. • Multiple user intents (news readers, viewers, program followers) without clear navigation paths. • Inconsistent visual hierarchy across news, video, and program pages. • Friction in mobile content consumption for fast-paced news access.
Our Solutions :
We redesigned the experience using a performance-focused Design Strategy + UX Strategy. Design Strategy • Established a clean, editorial-driven visual system that supports readability, credibility, and speed. • Designed flexible layout components to adapt across news, video, and long-form content. UX Strategy • Rebuilt Information Architecture based on content priority, recency, and user intent. • Improved content discovery with clearer navigation, tagging, and topic grouping. • Optimized reading and video consumption flows, especially on mobile devices.
Results :
• +49% faster content discovery through improved IA and editorial hierarchy. • +37% increase in user engagement across news and program pages. • +33% improvement in mobile reading experience, supporting real-time news consumption. • A clearer, more accessible public media platform aligned with Thai PBS’s mission.
